由一節(jié)節(jié)圓筒型吸油氈用連接繩串聯(lián)而成，半浮于水面（其每節(jié)由中心塑料管、泡沫浮子、網袋組成）。對發(fā)生溢油事故的水域或需要圍擋的油輪裝卸作業(yè)水域，可視所需長度串聯(lián)。串聯(lián)式圍油索比較輕巧，一兩名操作人員就可收放拽作業(yè)。突發(fā)溢油事故時，串聯(lián)式圍油索可快速圍阻浮油，防止浮油擴散。用后可將圍油索一節(jié)節(jié)回收，晾干以備下次使用。

Oil-enclosing cable(commonly called oil-absorption rope or oil-absorption cable)is formed by separate cylindrical oil-absorption felt connected by rope and partially floats on water surface(Each cylinder is formed by central plastic pipe,foam floater,oil-absorption felt and string bag).The length of oil-enclosing rope can be adjusted according to the situation of the water area of oil overflow accident or the handing operation area of oil tank.This kind of oil cable is very deft and can easily be handled by a couple of people.In gusty accident,oil-enclosing cable may be used rapidly to prevent overflow of floating oil.After the event,oil-enclosing cable may be taken back with separate cylinders and stored for stand-by after air-drying.
